NEW AUTOMOBILE, Toyota Adds 4-Cylinder Engine Production In Alabama

Reflecting an industry-wide shift to smaller-displacement engines, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama, Inc. said today the facility initiated production of 4-cylinder engines at the plant in Huntsville, AL. The TMMAL site, which also marked its 10-year anniversary this week, already produced V6s and V8s – and with the addition of 4-cylinder production becomes the only Toyota engine plant in the world to make 4-cylinder, 6-cylinder and 8-cylinder engines, Toyota said in a release today.
The new Alabama-built 4-cylinder engines will be used in the North America-built Camry, Highlander, RAV4, Venza and Sienna. The expansion for 4-cylinder production gives the plant capacity for 216,000 units annually and brings total engine-production capacity to 506,000 units, Toyota said. The TMMAL plant began building V8s in 2003, V6s in 2005 and to date has produced nearly 1.8 million engines.

Could this be the engine of 2012?

AppId is over the quota

A Wells-based inventor has BROKEN THE LAWS OF PHYSICS.

Yep, the anonymous architect of this contraption - called The Alpha Omega Galaxy Freefall Generator - claims it produces more power than it consumes. And that breaks the first law of thermodynamics, which states that energy can be changed from one form to another, but cannot be created or destroyed. Free power, y'all!

So, what's this ultramodern innovation built from? Carbon fibre? Titanium? Teflon? Err, no. It's made out of leftover bicycle parts, a windscreen-washer motor and a selection of magnets.

It works thusly. Wheels with magnets on spin around, apparently creating energy from gravity. A tiny amount of power's provided to the machine via said washer motor, which is transferred onto the weird spiny bits using a rubber band cut from a bicycle inner tube.

And, as you can see from the video, the flywheels keep turning, even though it would seem impossible for the motor to move the weight of the machine.

The mystery inventorizer claims a commercial version could produce enough power to run a house, virtually free of charge, and could be installed anywhere without the need for a power source.

He told This is Somerset: "The Alpha Omega Galaxy Freefall Generator (AOGFG) is a different eco-friendly way of producing electricity...

The world's changed forever, TopGear.commers. How do you feel?

New engine resources are A big boost

New engine resources are A big boost. Learn more about Ecoboost engines in the F-150 pickups.

(NAPSI) - an American car companies takes the green movement to a new level - development of more efficient green products, such as for example a module, which saves fuel. Here is how:

The fuel injection shot

A significant contribution to the motor fuel efficiency is some direct injection. This system delivers fuel directly into each cylinder for optimal performance, economy and emissions just a fine mist. In contrast to injection vehicles, which to spray fuel in the air intake system, is the direct injection system the fuel exactly where it is necessary for combustion.

The result is an unmatched combination of respond with responsible fuel consumption.

Where to find you

The EcoBoost engine called, it is in Ford F-150 pickups, where his 365 HP and 420 lb-ft of torque offer best tow 11,300 kg in combination with up to 20 percent, economy fuel savings. The 2011 F - 150 EcoBoost is an EPA rating of 16 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway, making it the best combination of functionality and efficiency under light full size pickups.

In addition, the first North American EcoBoost engine, 237-PS-2, is 0-litre, in the Explorer SUV and edge CUV, while the stylish Ford Flex, an EcoBoost has and the new Taurus full size sedan with an advanced 2, 0-liter EcoBoost, expected four-cylinder engine to deliver best-in-class highway fuel economy of at least 31 mpg.

Addressing performance is guaranteed, as direct injection and a turbocharger, this engine delivers a projected 237 HP on enable a wide speed range.

EcoBoost engines are fundamental for the Ford strategy of providing technologically advanced high-output, small way makes trains, to deliver the exceptional fuel economy and uncompromising performance.
