Sweden's Volvo Group said today that it plans to restructure its heavy truck business based on regional departments and not on its four global brands. Volvo are the trademarks of Volvo trucks, Renault trucks, UD trucks and Mack Trucks and will now combine marketing and sales for all according to a new regional organization consisting of America, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions. The new organizational structure 1 January 2012, begins, said the company.
New Volvo Europe, Middle East and Africa region of the Volvo and Renault brands is responsible. The Asia-Pacific region will process the UD truck operations. And the new America unit must be responsible for the Mack truck brand. Also there is a new business unit, Volvo global joint venture truck production processes handle.
